On Navarinou Street, in the heart of Thessaloniki, the party booths stood close together before the election. Characteristicly, the „New Democracy“ with former prime minister Karamanlis focused their campaign on big ad spaces along car routes. Also PASOK used expensive campaigning materials. Smaller, often left groups talked to people on the streets.

We asked all of them about direct democracy and parts of these meetings can be watched here. By the way: No one from PASOK felt authorized to answer, and we didn’t come across any members of „New Democracy“ that we could ask for.
